The public electric utility company who is responsible for providing the province of Cartago, in Costa Rica since early 1940’s, with an efficient and reliable electric system in order to contribute to the region's development. The company employs approximately 500 people and contributes to the social and economic development of the province by providing high-quality electric services and promoting energy efficiency.
The challenge
The constant attacks suffered by Costa Rica's government entities at the hands of the Cybercriminals group (Conti) seriously impacted customer’s operations. The organization contacted the Noventiq team asking for our help to restore its communication platform to the end user.
The solution
Noventiq worked closely with this customer to restore their systems for end-users, and implemented the entire Microsoft 365 suite in record time, leaving the organization battle-ready and fit for purpose.
The outcome
The customer’s end-user communication platform was fully restored by implementing Microsoft 365 suite, allowing operations to be re-established. The solution was activated for more than 500 individuals connected with organisation, and, on top of that, we made sure that all the security measures are now in place to ensure that email flows through secure communication channels. Thanks to the high level of security that Microsoft's public cloud provides, customer’s entire public internet domain was restored. We also introduced Azure as the public name resolution platform (DNS) solution.
We also took the opportunity to deploy other solutions, such as the Exchange Online Protection platform, to ensure that the organization can operate in a stable and secure working environment; and Microsoft Teams as a collaboration hub which offers document protection for all the customer’s users.
