The customer in today’s story is one of the music industry's most renowned and innovative global audio manufacturers, loved by millions around the world. They built their reputation on delivering high-quality but affordable equipment for professional and amateur audiophiles around the world, and their clients include such musical luminaries as Metallica, U2, Imagine Dragons, and Kanye West.
Noventiq had been working with the client in a strategic partnership for two years, helping them to realise their mission of boosting overall productivity, before their management approached us with an interesting challenge – build a unified IT solution with workloads to build scalable infrastructure and a streaming platform.
We started by brainstorming how we could deliver a digital infrastructure that would allow the company to measure and track both internal and external customer experience. Once we had that vision in place, we started the not inconsiderable task of going through 30 years of accumulated infrastructure, deleting 135 terabytes of redundant and obsolete data, as well as removing 3 data centers, 600 servers and 18 legacy applications. It took some time, but the results were worth it. After digitising the files, the next step was making sure that the customer’s digital infrastructure supported this new way of working. Thankfully, the customer was completely on board with utilising cloud to empower their workflow and operational security, so we were able to set them up with a scalable cloud infrastructure. We also helped them to customise and deploy Azure Sentinel, giving them easy and secure access to key data.
All of the customer’s files are now accurate, organised and stored on Microsoft 365 SharePoint. This means that data can now be tracked down much more easily thanks to the centralised repositories, which are accessible through self-service. Overall productivity in the organisation has increased by a whopping 300 percent.
