Over 75% of Latin Americans surveyed in a report by Noventiq says Generative AI will redefine the way we live within the next 3 years

Noventiq presents a study that analyzes the possible impact of Generative AI on Latin America.

  • 63% of the people surveyed in the study claim to have used Generative AI in a professional environment.
  • 80% of the respondents from the education sector believe that Generative AI should be used to educate the next generation.
  • More than half of the financial sector respondents believe that customer experience is the area that will be most impacted by Generative AI.
  • 37% of respondents feel "uncomfortable" with the current legal status of Generative AI in Latin America.

London, United Kingdom. 9th August 2023 - Noventiq, a global leader in digital transformation and cybersecurity solutions and services, today released its study on the potential impact of Generative Artificial Intelligence (Generative AI) on various aspects of Latin American society and economy. The study includes input from a diverse array of professionals in the region, from finance specialists and technologists to marketing professionals, CEOs and general managers, among others.

The report analyzes how Generative AI, a type of AI that can generate new content and insights based on huge datasets, could transform sectors such as education, the public sector, the transportation industry, healthcare, and financial services. The research highlights potential benefits in the areas of customer satisfaction and marketing, where the ability of Generative AI to adapt its output to the specific context promises to bring significant changes.

Noventiq argues that Generative AI can be a powerful driver of change in the region. For example, it can help remove the language barriers, increasing the competitiveness of the region in the global economy. Similarly, Generative AI could break the stranglehold of local monopolies in several sectors by allowing new entrants to compete in previously closed markets.

"Our survey results indicate that 83.6% of Latin Americans accept that Generative AI will 'eventually play a role in the future', and 41.1% confirm that their organizations are using, or plan to use, the technology to engage wider society through cultural and local communities. Recognizing its potential and accelerating the introduction of Generative AI in different sectors of the regional economy will further expand the possibilities for innovation and possibly serve as a catalyst for the region’s economic growth. Our team in Latin America is ready to deliver AI-powered solutions here from our technology partners, like Microsoft and Google, and our own innovations supported by relevant services"

The report concludes with an optimistic vision for the future, highlighting that the respondents themselves are, for the most part (76.8%) the drivers of the adoption of modern technologies in the region, claiming that Generative AI will redefine the way we live and work in Latin America within the next 3 years.
