Antenna Hungária counts on Noventiq (formerly Softline) to optimize their cybersecurity

Antenna Hungária is one of the leaders in the Hungarian telecommunications market. Its main activities are television and radio broadcasting, telecommunication and satellite or multimedia services. Through its telecommunication network it provides wireless telecommunication services to business clients. The company ensures high-quality and reliable services through regular internal security audits. Following the latest security audit, the company decided to strengthen its cybersecurity and create a complex protection against modern security risks and threats.

Softline Holding plc began trading under the brand name Noventiq after divesting part of its business in October 2022.

Before launching the project, Antenna Hungária highlighted two goals. Both the operation of the company and the broad service portfolio had to be protected by comprehensive IT security solutions. Antenna Hungária envisioned a complete security umbrella for the IT services they rendered. The measures are ought to create a harmonized and easily managed system that generates understandable notifications and alerts in case of a security incident.

Antenna Hungária has already owned Microsoft 365 E3 and E5 security licenses, however, the services included in the licenses haven’t been fully implemented. In other words, the company already had the tools at their disposal, but tailor-made suggestion to understand what benefits are included in the solutions, their relevance to the company and the roadmap for implementation was required.

Softline has already worked with Antenna Hungária on the introduction of Office 365 with specific focus on Exchange Online. The mutual trust and good relationship obtained during the cooperation, as well as Softline’s knowledge on Antenna Hungária’s business operation and IT systems contributed to offering the most suitable solutions.

As a first step, Softline’s expert team explained the solutions included in the licenses and demonstrated how these services can create an integrated cybersecurity protection. Then, they developed a roadmap characterized by the client’s infrastructure and goals, as well as industry aspects and best practices. The first version of the timeline outlined a conclusive result for Antenna Hungária and was finalized after discussing the details. The approved plan represented an all-in system that significantly integrates Microsoft 365 E3 and E5 security solutions.

Trough the project, the team of experts developed and strengthened Antenna Hungária’s IT security in the following key areas:

  1. Identity protection, including the protection of user identity, multi-factor authentication and self-service password reset.
  2. End-point protection, from strengthening the protection of accessing company assets to discovering shadow IT used by employees.
  3. Protection of online services, like secure emailing, data loss prevention and conditional access of applications.
  4. Supporting legal and regulatory compliance through easing identification and searching of information and data necessary for legal cases.

During the cooperation Softline’s experts also made sure that the work arrangements remain flexible for Antenna Hungária’s employees, and they enjoy outstanding user experience. Some of the advised services were implemented gradually to avoid negative user experience and resistance towards the new solutions.

’We are constantly looking for opportunities to provide innovative, yet reliable services to our clients. That’s why it is crucial for us that every aspect of our operation is protected by comprehensive cybersecurity solutions. With the support of Softline we received a clear summary about the services included in our licenses and the best way to utilize them, establishing a modern and secure IT environment.’ – said Zsolt Árki, Chief Technical Officer, Antenna Hungária.

’We were thrilled to launch the cooperation with Antenna Hungária regarding comprehensive cybersecurity solutions. The company has a rich history, furthermore, it has continuously developed in the past years. Supporting their operation with our knowledge and expertise in IT security solutions is a huge honor for us.’ – added Zoltán Mészáros, Vice President, Softline Eastern Europe.

Following the implementation of the security solutions, Antenna Hungária defined a goal to establish a central monitoring system that can analyze the logbook with the incoming alerts. As a result, the system will be easy to review and understand, contributing to the realization of quick and effective actions.
